300 mg/day is the maximum recommended Lyrica dose for diabetic nerve pain. Patients who do not experience sufficient pain relief following 2 to 4 weeks of treatment with 300 mg per day, and who are able to tolerate Lyrica, may be treated with up to 600 mg/day. Increasing or decreasing your dose can help improve your results. Your doctor can adjust the dose to help you get the most benefit from your treatment. Therefore, it is important to talk to your doctor about your progress and any side effects you may feel, especially in the first few weeks. Don't change your dose without talking to your doctor. Be sure to talk to your doctor if you stop treatment.

330 mg/day is the maximum recommended Lyrica CR dose for diabetic nerve pain. Patients who do not experience sufficient pain relief with 330 mg/day after 2 to 4 weeks of treatment and who are able to tolerate Lyrica CR may be titrated up to 660 mg/day.

If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. If it is within 2 hours of the next dose, it is better to leave out the missed dose and take your next dose as normal. Never take 2 doses at the same time. Never take an extra dose to make up for a forgotten one.

Who can not use Lyrica?

Pregabalin is only for adults. Do not give it to children under the age of 18. Lyrica is not suitable for some people:

Lyrica can cause serious, even life-threatening, allergic reactions. Stop taking Lyrica and see a doctor right away if you have any signs of a serious allergic reaction.
